what is up??
Okay, I understand that American markets are different from European markets, but look they are getting far better looking cars than we are in here in America. For instance the Ford Focus RS. This car is extremely fast and it looks good. It is equipped with a Duratec 2.5 liter, 5 cylinder engine.(Volvo engine)This car has a top speed of about 160 mph. I understand that 26,395 euro = 37,223.30 usd, but I know that Ford can find a way to make this car happen here in the U.S. Yes, I know that no one will want to buy a 37,000 dollar compact car. I really think that if American automotive companies do some of the things that they do in the European countries that they will do better against the competition. We love horsepower and at over 300hp this thing would surely find it way into someone garage......

Email to GM...
True story: emailed Bob Lutz yesterday saying this:
He actually replied or some on replied for him, he said that the G8 was his favorite sedan and that he will do all he can to keep it in the line-up. So there you have it. The buzz on the internets is that the G8 will be a Chevy Caprice. I guess this is a wait and see deal....
Dear,
Mr. Lutz, I am what one would call a car fanatic. I not owned very many, but I love them. I am writing this letter to tell you that I test drove the Pontiac G8 GT and the machine is a beast. I hate to see it go, so I hope that there are plans to move it to the Chevy brand. I know that you are a busy man and you probably will not read this email. But I thought I would give it a try. Back to the G8 I liked this thing fit and finish. This is one automobile that has been a long time coming and GM has done this one right. I hope GM will do more cars with this type of quality in mine. In my opinion, cars like the G8 and Malibu are the key to what will put "American cars" back on top.
